ABOUT ME
My name is Aimee Kirksey, and I am a classically trained pianist with over 20 years of experience in piano study and nearly two decades of teaching. Music has been a lifelong passion, and I am dedicated to helping students discover both skill and joy at the piano.
I am an active member of the National and Florida Federation of Music Clubs: Harmony Club, where I serve as Secretary, and I also serve as Chairperson for our area’s National Guild of Piano Teachers through the American College of Musicians. These affiliations provide students with valuable opportunities to participate in festivals, evaluations, and competitions that encourage growth, confidence, and achievement.
My journey with piano began at age seven after persistently asking my parents for lessons—and once I started, I never looked back. By age ten, I had already decided I wanted to become both a piano teacher and a mother. Today, I’m grateful to be living out that dream as a homeschooling mom and teacher, sharing the gift of music with my own children and my students.
With 20 years of teaching experience, I work with students beginning at age four through adulthood. I believe that music is for everyone—regardless of age or stage—and that it is never too late to begin. Each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to the individual student, with a focus on building strong foundational skills, musical expression, and a lifelong love of music.
I’d love to help you on your musical path. See how you can work with me to discover your talents and enjoy the gift of music.
